Frederick J. Hanna has been in the collection business for over 20 years. The firm has five lawyers on staff with a combined total of 60 years of collection law experience. We also have over 500 experienced and knowledgeable support staff that understands the unique nature of the collection business. We have our own investigative department for locating skips and post judgment asset investigation. We run our own credit reports and have access to numerous databases that provide quick, up-to-date information on locating debtors and their assets.
We handle bankruptcy issues that arise in connection with these types of cases, including reaffirmation agreements, proofs of claim and motions to avoid liens. We also handle collection matters throughout the entire State of Georgia.
We handle cases on a contingency fee basis. Typically, your only out-of-pocket expenses are the filing fees for lawsuits and/or garnishments that we file on your behalf. We advance the court costs and bill you for costs and our fees.
We can provide you with weekly and monthly statements regarding collections. We can also supply status reports both electronically or hard copy. We do have e-mail capability for transferring data on a daily basis.

I received a collection letter from Attorney Fred Hanna. I placed a call to his office and his staff was more than willing to work out a payment arrangement with me. I made my payments as agreed and now the account is paid! I appreciate the willingness of this company to work with me on payments I could afford.
Hanna Wins Again
In the latest case against Hanna where a debtor alleges that the filing of a lawsuit violated her Federal rights and gave her emotional stress regarding he unpaid credit card debt, a jury returned a verdict in fact of Hanna. Now the Plaintiff is faced with having to pay Hanna’s attorney fees.

I was served with a lawsuit from Frederick J Hanna & Assoc regarding my old Discover Card that was past due and charged off. I called his office and spoke with my account manager. She couldnt have been more helpful. I set up a monthly payment arrangement that fit into my budget. Its been a year and in two more months I will be DEBT FREE!!
If people would not go into debt that they cannot afford they would not have a collection agency calling them. Hanna is just providing a service to companies to help bring together debtors and creditors to come to a workable solution to pay the debt that the person borrowed with a promise to pay back in the first place. I found Hanna's people easy to work with and I was treated very respectfully
i have dealt w/many collection agencies in the past. Hanna & Assoc did not bash me, and did not threaten. at the time, i wasnt able to pay all that they were asking me to pay, but i was able to borrow some money from family and get them to reduce the balance. now i dont have my cred cards hanging over my head!!
I was sued on 2 capital one accounts. I called the office of Fred Hanna and spoke to the person who handles my account, she was very professional and kind and we worked out a repayment plan on a reduced amount. One of the accounts is settled and i have 6 more months to pay off the final account. Thank you so much Mr. Hanna
If I owed a collection agency like Hanna money I would never pay them. By understanding the legal principles behind a solid invalid contract defense and an invalid assignment defense to a debt collector suit the debtor could put up a winning collection fight and keep the money free and clear from harassing attorneys and tax penalties.
I tried to get around being sued. I thought I had some good defenses. I ended up being sued, had to hire an attorney, and STILL lost. Now I'm stuck paying my lawyer AND Frederick Hanna (although they did work out a settlement with me) I think it's really just a lot easier to pay the debt before even getting sued. It saves money!
What is your response time to emails sent on your site? I sent an email about a collection notice and I need a response quickly.
